Operation Groundswell is a volunteer-travel experience unlike any other.
Our mission is to engage North American youth by providing off-the-beaten-path travel opportunities to the developing world. Participants learn first-hand by becoming immersed in local communities and cultures through group and personal projects.
Our programs expose participants to the harsh realities of everyday life in the developing world. In showing the ground-level perspective, we ultimately hope to foster cross-cultural dialogue and engagement between the participants and our partnered communities.
Most of all, our trips expose the real challenges behind foreign aid, development, travel and volunteering. Operation Groundswell is a registered Canadian non-profit organization under Project Equity. That means that we always have our participant's best interests in mind.

Operation Groundswell wants more young adults to step outside
their comfort zones and explore the world.
Grounded in the belief that anyone is capable of traveling abroad, we created trips to challenge the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, academics & socially-conscious minds. Understanding what lies beyond one's own borders is critical to comprehending the role we play as citizens in the 21st century .
