Happy Holidays from OG!

Another year is coming to a close and 2012 marks a very special one for all of us at OG. It has been, by far, the biggest, most exciting year we’ve ever had with trips expanding to more regions throughout the world and with even more dynamic and adventurous participants backpacking with a purpose. After eighteen programs in eight different regions, we’re ready for more!

As most of you know, OG does not consider the work it does as charity. We see our work as a formation of partnerships and connections through solidarity and mutual aid. We saw this happening in our new city action – where OG partnered with Occupy Sandy to bring diasaster relief to those in New York that were left behind by the system. We’ll see more of this work in exactly two weeks, when 10 backpackers will head over to Peru to work with communities often overlooked.

We want to thank each and every one of you for making all that we do possible. It’s been a tremendous year full of growth, exploration, and as always, adventure.
