Round two of Operation Groundswell in the South East Asia region has just begun!!

Staying in the backpacker Mecca of Koh San Rd, the crew is adjusting to the heat, hustle, bustle and pad tai of Thailand. We spoiled ourselves immensely the first night with some delicious Thai food and a visit to one of the world’s classiest bars, the Sky Bar at the Lebua hotel! With a view of sprawling Bangkok at night, the crew enjoyed the luxury in our dresses and sneakers! Classy!

Arriving to the insane city of Bangkok, the group was thrown right into the madness with the Great Bangkok Scavenger Hunt. We set them loose in the city to fend for themselves. Practicing the art of bartering and wandering, everyone returned to us alive and well to share their ridiculous stories and adventures. Tuk tuks, river taxis, the sky train, monks, takraw, muay thai, Wat Pho, temples, the Reclining Buddha, the Democracy monument, new friends and the politics of the country were all discovered, along with a few new flavors and fruits!

Today the crew went to the infamous JJ weekend market! A maze of merchandise, nobody succeeded in not loosing themselves at least for a little while. A well deserved Thai massage followed in hopes of shaking off the last of our jet lag before we embark on an overnight bus to head to Chiang Mai tonight. As of 7am tomorrow morning, we will be jumping right into our first project with the Elephant Nature Park!! Everyone is super stoked to hang out and get some one on one time with one of the world’s largest animals! Jealous? I think so…

We will be away from the computers for awhile but if you need to get a hold of us feel free to call!
